Needles on the Stool

I went to the forest where I took Under the Leaves a few years ago for another photoshoot with gorgeous fungi. It appears here that some pine needles have grown through this toadstool, which is obviously not the case, since I haven't really heard of pine needles growing anywhere after they've fallen of their tree. So maybe the toadstool grew around it, but that seems rather odd to me as well.

Just one of those strange coinidences of nature which a human has been lucky enough to capture in pixels, I guess. Hope you enjoy...
